Characters Who Fighting Each Other in “Shang-chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”

The film Shang-chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has just released a second trailer that reveals many things, including showing several MCU characters fighting each other in a battle arena.

Currently fans are theorizing that Marvel Studios might include elements of Mortal Kombat-style tournament battles that will later be carried out by Shang-chi and many other characters.

With Shang-Chi’s participation in the fight, it looks like it will be an interesting and thrilling spectacle, added with the involvement of two well-known guest characters from other MCU films.

Here are the characters who will fight each other in the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings tournament.

In the Marvel comics, Shang-Chi spent his childhood learning the martial art of Kung Fu at the coercion of his father, Fu Manchu. This makes him a Kung Fu Master in the Marvel Universe.

His bare-handed fighting skills are even on par with Captain America who is a super soldier.

Shang-Chi has also defeated Spider-Man and Wolverine in hand-to-hand combat, so there’s no doubt that Shang-chi is one of the toughest fighters in the Marvel Universe.

Even though in the film Shang-chi’s father is Mandarin, it doesn’t seem like this will make Shang-chi free from rigorous training to learn martial arts, and even his training looks even more sadistic as seen in the trailer.

Besides being trained by his father, in the trailer, Shang-chi is also seen being trained by his mother, Jiang Nan, to study internal energy.

In the arena battle later, it looks like Shang-chi must exert all his abilities to defeat other characters who even have super powers.

In the trailer, Shang-Chi is seen fighting against women who also master martial arts, the character is Xialing, played by Meng’er Zhan.

Reportedly, Xialing is the daughter of Mandarin as well as sister of Shang-chi.

Her meeting with Shang-chi on the battlefield seems to have a grudge of its own.

Maybe because she had been jealous because his father loved Shang-chi more, or maybe because she wanted to prove that she was better than Shang-chi.

Razor Fist

Although it has not been confirmed, it looks like Razor Fist, played by Florian Munteanu, will be one of the fighters in the arena later, because in the first trailer he is seen at the location of the fight as well.

In the comics, Razor Fist has indeed been involved in an arena battle, where he was easily defeated by Steve Rogers aka Captain America. So it is possible that Razor Fist will be involved again in the arena fight against Shang-chi in the film later.

One of the guest characters involved in the arena battle in the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is Wong.

Although in the trailer it is not clear whether the character is Wong, but from his appearance he is very similar to Wong who is a member of the Master of the Mystic Arts and a friend of Doctor Strange.

This is supported by behind-the-scenes photos showing actors Wong and Simu Liu together.

It’s possible that the reason Wong got involved in the arena fight was because Strange was assigned to find out about the Ten Rings.

It makes sense, considering the Ten Rings are one of the most powerful magical artifacts, and must be secured in the Sanctum Sanctorum to prevent being taken advantage of by bad people.

Unfortunately, Wong’s mission doesn’t seem to be going smoothly, because in the trailer, Wong is seen fighting another guest character, Abomination.

The character who may be the biggest threat to Shang-Chi in the arena tournament is Abomination, played by Tim Roth.

This is quite surprising, considering that it has been more than ten years since this character has disappeared since his defeat in the film The Incredible Hulk in 2008.

Previously, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that the character Abomination would return to the MCU in the She-Hulk series that will air on Disney+ next year.

It turns out that the character will return to the MCU more quickly through the film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
